Blue Spinel Modified Cushion-Cut 2.09 Carat SPN00056

Spinels and sapphires were once considered to be the same stone, and one can understand why when looking at this particular spinel. A rich dark blue, reminiscent of medium-dark blue sapphires. As the video indicates, this is a very clean stone, a bit darker than the video indicates. The exact origin is unknown, but we suspect this stone came from the Tunduru river deposit in Tanzania. This particular spinel is perfect for either a ring or pendant.
