Mahenge Garnet Color Shift Pinkish Red Cushion 2.38 Carat MAH00057

This Mahenge garnet exhibits a color shift in different lighting, from a red in incandescent lighting (2700K) to a pinkish red in direct sunlight (5500K), to purple in overcast skies (6500K). Faceted in the United States, the cutter was careful to maximize the size of the stone while maintaining the overall quality. There is one inclusion on the girdle that will not be visible in a bezel setting. However, due to this imperfection, we have decided to price this gemstone below market at under $200 per carat.
