This sapphire is from the famous Songea deposit in Africa. Songea sapphires are known for their brilliance and unusual colors. Completely natural, with no heat treatment. A bit darker than the video and pictures indicate, this particular sapphire displays a distinct color change from bluish-green to a bright green, depending on the light source. This particular sapphire was faceted in the United States, and the cutter decided to facet this particular sapphire in a unique kite design. This sapphire is best suited for a custom pendant.
