This is a dark blue gemstone, and reminds us of a dark sapphire from Australia. It is lightly zoned but this is not noticeable due to the stone’s deep color saturation throughout the entire stone. This stone is not for everybody, but it is perfect for someone looking for a dark, deep blue sapphire from Montana. Like most of our Montana sapphires, it is from the Missouri River gravels of Montana. It is suitable for either a ring or pendant.
