This gemstone is a dark, deep blue color that is a bit unusual for sapphires from Montana. This stone reminds us a bit of deeper blue sapphires from Asia. There is a minor amount of zoning, which is not noticeable due to the complete saturation of the blue color throughout the entire gemstone. As with most of our Montana sapphires, this stone is from the Missouri River gravels in Montana. This sapphire is suitable for either a ring or pendant.
