Lively Blue Zircon Oval 1.39 Carat ZIN00055

We were fortunate to acquire a parcel of very clean and bright Blue Zircon rough some time ago, and recently had it faceted by our cutters. Our faceter took advantage of zircon’s high refractive index and cut this stone in an oval shape, with lots of extra sparkle and brilliance that is noticeable from several feet away, unusual for an oval. As good as this stone looks in the video, it is much nicer in real life. Many people believe that zircon is manmade, mistaking it for cubic zirconia, but zircon is a natural gemstone which is sometimes used as a diamond substitute due to its high refractive index. Blue zircon has become a very popular gemstone, and this particular stone is one of the best small oval zircons we have. It is perfect for either a ring or pendant.
