Blue Montana Sapphire Round Approx. 6mm MTY00353

This sapphire comes from the Missouri River gravels in Montana. We acquired parcels of sapphire rough direct from one of two mining operations in Montana about 20-25 years ago, and this gemstone is from one of the parcels that we recently faceted. This sapphires has some light to moderate inclusions and some veiling/clouds, but this sapphire displays rich color saturation and has enough scintillation to mitigate the visibility of the inclusions. Overall, this is a nice Montana sapphire with good color, and is suitable for either a ring or pendant.
