Andalusite Bicolor Burnt RedStraw Yellow Cushion Cut 0.97 Carat ANN00070

Long sought after for its metaphysical properties, the gem version of Andalusite has recently become popular. A bit of a mysterious and unusual gemstone due to its pleochroic properties, Andalusite commonly exhibits different colors when viewed at different angles. This particular gemstone is mostly a burnt orange color, with a couple regions of light straw yellow. It also displays a color change from mostly burnt orange to more of an overall straw yellow depending on the light source. It does have a couple regions of mottling inclusions, but these inclusions do not impair the brightness of this gemstone. Hard enough to be mounted in either a ring or pendant.
