This gemstone is for someone looking for an Oregon sunstone displaying both shiny schiller and scintillation from the facets. Please take a look at the video. The schiller on this stone is very directional, sometimes looking like the bottom of a copper pan or disappearing almost entirely depending how the stone is oriented. The schiller is caused by tiny copper inclusions which look like individual snowflakes on camera, but in sunlight they blend together to give the stone a shimmer that looks like the bottom of a new copper pot. Due to sunstone’s hardness (approx. 6.5), we recommend setting this stone in a pendant or brooch.
