Ammonites (Ammonoidea) are an ancient extinct subclass of cephalopods, an order that also contains octopus, squid and nautilus. First appearing approximately 409 million years ago, this order lived in the oceans for over 340 million years, finally dying out with the dinosaurs during the KT Extinction Event. Ammonoidea fossils are found throughout the world, and are some of the most popular fossils to collect.
We are lucky to have fossils from several different orders/genus of Ammonoidea, including ammonites, belemites, and lituiutes. Every fossil we offer is authentic. Please take your time to view what we have to offer. We have a large supply, and will be adding additional fossils to our website as we process our inventory.
